CHRISTMAS 2015 REFLECTIONS

Mary and Joseph had an interesting start to their marriage life. In today's Christian context, they are not the ideal couple. They are just starting their marriage on the WRONG FOOT! My husband and I have counseled with countless couples before their wedding and marriage life, some we have walked a little further with, while others just needed help for the season. There is no doubt that it is a rewarding yet very expensive affair. Leave alone issues of money...that is a non-i ssue, but the time, the effort, the worry, the joys and pains of planning a life together. You hope that they will overcome their challenges and stay together, you have faith that they will be great parents, but you must have love for them, whether they keep you close or far away, they are yours forever!  When I think about this couple, Mary and Joseph, i see Faith, i see hope, but i see the greatest...love. Love to accept a virgins tale of an Angel, Love to protect the virgin, Love to love God...

Another New beginning

On 2nd September, I attended the wedding of Paul Kamaku my STEM cohort...and I was with these guys who I stemmed in 2002/2003. What a joy to have Eric Ngaira and Steve Kinyua still fiery for the Lord! God Bless my dear sons!

Training Students

The place of training for Christian Union Students is paramount for the growth of the Christian faith. If students do not embrace training, they fall into a place of easily being "taught" other things or depend on their past experiences to lead the Christian Union. The Christian Union that is based in the university is a good forum for developing good Christian thought, for mentorship and Training. A student who goes through the Christian Union and has not attended any training cannot confidently say that they are ready to engage the "world" for Christ. Let us embrace training, let us look for opportunities for receiving new information and be seasoned to be Salt and Light of the world. Cheers!

RE: The Maasai and the Office worker

Last week was very busy for me. But it ended well with a sermon at church. How to eat healthy. Ever wondered why tha Maasai do not suffer from the diseases of car drivers and top notch office job occupiers? It is because they have exercise and lots of it. So get up and Exercise

The Blues and Reds

How amazing life can get. Today you are enjoying the breeze on top of mount Kilimambogo (the only hill I have climbed) and the next you are in the depths of the Menengai crater or in the heart of Hells Gate. The hymn writer wrote these words down which I used in my wedding song-Summer and Winter, Spring time and harvest,.....and it goes on to a resounding; GREAT is they Faithfulness Oh God. The Lord knows the seasons of our lives and is working in them just as Summer produces the Joy of life, Spring the new beginning, Winter the quietness and rejuvenation of the whole earth and Autumn for fruit. God is working in the seasons of our lives, though we may not feel and see Him, rest assured he is working... with lots of Love, Patience and expectation of what will come out of me and you. So am resting easy are you?

Then the power came back and left, came, went, came disappered, came....aaaargh! too much flickering and I need to protect my power gadgets! so I switched everything off and went back to my silence. 10.30am my sister calls me, she has some gifts for me from my sis down south...I must rush she is going for a class via the super highway, I stop ...everything and dash into a mat and off to wait for her. at about 11.30 she appears I have been waiting for 15 minutes.... she gives me the bag, a few minutes s...
